3rd Infantry Division Band

The 3rd Infantry Division Band performs at the Richmond Hill Holiday Parade, December 2008.

The 3rd Infantry Division Band is a 40-piece musical ensemble that has the ability to provide a variety of musical groups for military and community events.  The 3ID Band's diverse musical groups include Ceremonial Band, Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Combo, Stage Band, Brass and Woodwind Quintets, and Show Band.

The band recently deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Its wartime mission set music to the side and called for the musicians to transform into gun-brandishing, professional soldiers, ready and capable of accomplishing any task set before them, as they proved time and time again.

Located at Fort Stewart, the band travels around the Southeastern U.S. performing music with the technical proficiency and precision that represents the professionalism of today's Army.

The 3rd Infantry Division Band has had a diverse itinerary since its installation as the official military band unit of Fort Stewart.  The band has performed upon request at:

  • A week-long Independence Day celebration in Naples, Florida, including a parade and back-to-back USA show-style concerts
  • City of Vidalia, GA. Sweet Onion Festival Parade
  • A ceremony kicking off the Warburg Cup, hosted by Arnold Palmer
  • A four-star general's change of command
  • Fort Stewart retirement ceremonies
  • Fort Stewart change of command ceremonies

  • Taps for ceremonies such as Veterans' Day and September 11

  • The members of the 3rd Infantry Division are versatile, dedicated, and professional.
