The 3rd Infantry Division staff is comprised of a personnel (G1), intelligence (G2), operations and training (G3), logistics (G4), plans (G5), communications (G6), information operations (G7), resource management (G8), and civil-military operations (G9). The division staff is overseen by the Division Chief of Staff. The division's chief of staff has operational oversight of the division staff in support of 3rd Infantry Division units at Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and Fort Benning, Georgia, and works with the Garrison Commander to coordinate and synchronize staff efforts for both the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield installations.
