Letter From The Chaplain
We extend to you a personal invitation to come worship with us, and participate in our many religious activities and programs on a regular basis. Please see your unit chaplain or stop by the Fort Stewart or Hunter Army Airfield chapels to obtain information concerning local churches and worship opportunities. Your UMT is dedicated to the mission of ensuring the free exercise of religion for Soldiers, family members, retirees, and DOD civilians. We seek to accomplish this mission by providing opportunities for worship, religious education, pastoral counseling ministry, family life ministry, retreats, and a multitude of workshops and seminars.
If you need additional religious support, your assigned unit chaplain is available to assist you. Remember, just as your Commander is your Commander regardless of your MOS, your Chaplain is your Chaplain regardless of your faith, and stands ready to serve and/or assist you. God Bless.
