Lieutenant Colonel Kenneth M. Dwyer graduated and was commissioned as an Infantry officer from Furman University, Greenville, SC in 1998 with a Bachelor degree in Health and Exercise Science.

Lieutenant Colonel Dwyer’s assignments include Rifle Platoon Leader, Mortar Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer for 2nd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, Ft. Campbell, KY.  Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) Team Leader, Assistant operations officer for 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) and Headquarters and Headquarters Company Commander(HHC) for 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft. Bragg, NC.  Chief of Readiness for United States Army Special Forces Command (Airborne), Group Support Company (GSC) Commander for 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Special Forces Detachment Commander Qualification Course Company Commander for the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School (USAJFKSWCS), Group Executive Officer for Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne) and Chief of Operations for 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne).

Lieutenant Colonel Dwyer’s operational deployments include 4 tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2002, 2005, 2006, 2012).
 Lieutenant Colonel Dwyer’s schools include:  the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Ranger School, Infantry Officer Advanced Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC), Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Course (SERE) Combat Diver Qualification Course (CDQC) and the Naval Post Graduate School, Monterey, CA where he received a Master’s Degree in Defense Analysis.
