Fort Stewart - Retiree Services
The Fort Stewart Retirement Services Office (RSO) is located in Bldg. 251 in the Marne Welcome Center at Fort Stewart. Those interested in retirement should visit the RSO to obtain information regarding retirement eligibility/processing and to submit retirement applications. Servicemembers are thoroughly briefed on benefits and entitlements prior to retirement. Additionally, retired personnel are encouraged to call or visit the RSO regarding any questions or problems they may encounter. Courteous and prompt assistance is provided for all visitors. Call 767-3096/3326 for information during duty hours.

Club Council Military Retiree Representative

Jake Umholtz, USA (R), is the current military retiree representative appointee to Club Council. Umholtz invites retirees to notify him of concerns and ideas that will improve the club system,including services and activities. Contact him at 912-370-7525, or by email at

star  Winn Army Community Hospital - Winn Army Community Hospital (WACH) provides medical care for active and retired military personnel and their eligible family members in a "catchment area" covering Liberty, Long, Evans, Tattnall, Wayne, McIntosh, Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Bryan and Chatham counties. Retirees and family members are provided services on a space-available basis.

Winn Army Community Hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical specialties, such as internal medicine, dermatology, pediatrics, general surgery, orthopedics, psychiatry, OB-GYN, mental hygiene, diet and nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, optometry, audiology, podiatry, and community and occupational health. Ancillary services such as laboratory, radiology, pathology and pharmacy are also provided at WACH. The information desk telephone number is 370-6857.
