MARNE VISITORS BUREAU
Roles and Responsibilities
The Marne Visitor's Bureau plans, coordinates, executes, or supervises the proper conduct of ceremonies, special events, official social functions, and visits of distinguished visitors to the Marne Division. The MVB also:
•Advises and assists the Command Group and the command with protocol matters.
•Develops internal protocol policies and procedures for the effective handling of distinguished visitors.
•Serves as the single POC with external agencies on matters pertaining to the Command Group's participation in ceremonies and special events.
•Develops comprehensive concept plans for official visits and special functions.
•Formulates itineraries and manages visits of distinguished visitors to include coordinating transportation, lodging, and meals; preparing budget estimates; providing visitor biographical data; briefing and supervising escorts and drivers; and coordinating arrangements with external agencies.
•Greets and escorts distinguished visitors through their visit or arranges for suitable escorts and transportation.
•Develops and executes plans for official and social functions.
•Assists the CSM with military ceremonies and special events sponsored or hosted by 3rd InfantryDivision.
•Plans, coordinates, and oversees conferences hosted by the command. Makes all arrangements associated with the conference to include billeting, transportation, official photos, escorts, social functions, and refreshments.
•Provides dining support for the Command Group by providing beverages for the Command Group at all meetings and luncheons.
•Manages the care, disposition, and usage of the command's flags, colors, ceremonial display items, and related accoutrements.
•Interprets pertinent regulations concerning accepting and administering gifts to the Division and Division personnel.
•Manages Official Representation Funds to support gifts, dinners, housing, and transportation for distinguished visitors.
•Recommends and procures appropriate gifts.
•Maintains and provides supporting documentation.
