Special Forces Recruiting-Stewart (SFRT-ST) is seeking highly motivated male soldiers both enlisted and officers from all career management fields (CMF’s) to join the Army’s premier fighting force.
We are the U.S. Army Special Forces (SF). Commonly referred to as the “Green Beret”, we are capable of rapid response to various contingency missions around the globe.
Our Special Forces Operational Detachment-Alpha (ODA’s or A-team’s) are tight-knit 12-man team’s capable of operation under the most adverse conditions. We are made up of highly-skilled specialist trained to conduct a multitude of missions in a broad range of operational environments.

What are the requirements to get into SF?
- You must be a U.S. citizen.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a GT score of 107 or higher.
- Be eligible for a SECRET security clearance.
- Enlisted soldiers must be in the pay grade E-3 through junior E-7.
- Officers must be in Year group 09.
- You must be regular Army on active duty and assigned to your permanent duty station.
- Volunteer! By volunteering for SF, you also volunteer for airborne training and Airborne Assignments.
- Pass the Army APFT with a minimum score of 240 in your age group wearing ACU’s and running shoes.
- Pass an SF physical.
