Command Sergeant Major Brendan P. McIntyre was born in Phoenix, AZ. He entered the Army in May of 1987 and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, GA, where he was awarded the military occupational specialty of Infantryman (11B).
Command Sergeant Major McIntyre has held positions as a Machine Gunner, Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Ranger Instructor, Assistant Operations Sergeant, Rifle and Scout Platoon Sergeant, S3 Air NCOIC, First Sergeant, Battalion and Brigade Operations Sergeant Major, and Battalion Command Sergeant Major.
Command Sergeant Major McIntyre’s duty assignments include Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Air Field; Bravo Company, 7th Ranger Training Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas; 3rd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky; and Operations Group, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana. His combat tours include Operation Enduring Freedom VII with 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Task Force Wild Boar; and Operation Iraqi Freedom (07-08) and Operation Enduring Freedom XI (10-11) with 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment.
Command Sergeant Major McIntyre’s military education includes Primary Leadership Development Course; Basic Non-commissioned Officer Course; Advanced Non-commissioned Officer Course; First Sergeant Course; United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy; Ranger School; Advanced Airborne Course; Pathfinder Course; Air Assault School; Sniper Course; Instructor Trainer Course; and the Tactics Certification Course.
